What to Expect at your First-SessionOur friendly reception staff or Physio staff will be there to greet you on arriving at one of our Bend + Mend clinics. We will ask you to fill in a New Patient details form and then take you through to one of our private treatment rooms for your Initial Pilates Assessment.

Your Physiotherapist will take your medical history and find out what your goals are. We will then ask you to get changed into your exercise clothes (or borrow ours) and look at how your body performs in a variety of movement tests. This forms the foundation upon which exercise is prescribed, and gives us valid measures to continually reassess as you do sessions within our clinic. You will then move into the studio to use the Pilates equipment and start your Pilates programme.

Your exercise programme will be directly based on your goals such as reducing the frequency of back pain or hamstring tears, or strengthening  the core muscles in time for the running season. You may choose to continue with one-on-one sessions or join one of our small group classes. Your Physio will give you advice on when you are ready to join a class and find a class time to suit you. Both our classes and one-on-one sessions use the Pilates equipment. Everyone has different reasons for doing Pilates and we aim to get you closer to your goals each and every session!

The cost of a Pilates Session at Bend + Mend is:

Initial Pilates Assessment $130 (45 min)

One-on-One Pilates Session $130 (45 min)

Pilates Classes $57.50 per class (45 min, max 4 people)
