ChelseaHere at Bend + Mend, we are very proud to be able to offer a Scholarship programme for students of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology. The Bend + Mend Musculoskeletal Injury Management Scholarship for 2016 went to Chelsea from the University of Sydney!

From Chelsea: I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bend + Mend Physio Sydney CBD for awarding me the Musculoskeletal Injury Management Scholarship to help me continue advancing my skills in the area of exercise therapy. With this Scholarship, I am now able to do a Pilates course in August that I have been wanting to do since I put in my application for this Scholarship. With the left over money from Bend + Mend, I look forward to buying study resources and potential workout equipment to help me experiment with different exercises that could be used for rehabilitation.

I would encourage other students who see this Scholarship to enter because if you have a passion for your future career path, whether it be Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology, then coming up with ideas about how you could further your education is easy; as they are amazing professions that can help increase a person’s quality of life dramatically. One day I hope to work in a practice such as Bend + Mend where they are dedicated to ensuring that their patients and future Physiotherapists such as myself reach their fullest potential.

From Bend + Mend: Chelsea stood out from the rest of the applicants with her enthusiasm for her current studies as well as having clear goals as to what she wanted to achieve at Uni. It was also apparent in her application that she had an insightful and broad view of how exercise therapy ties in with so much of what we do in musculoskeletal health. It was a really impressive application.

Congratulations Chelsea, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!

Applications for our 2017 scholarship will open soon.
